The allegation left many people scratching their heads. What could possibly be the motive?

The article is a solid education piece on the wide variety of educational opportunities offered in the greater Asheville community. However, not a single word is devoted to religion, faith, or church involvement in the schools.

For how sex-obsessed our culture is, it’s surprising how little we talk about the spiritual side effects of procreation and contraception. The way we view our bodies and the manner in which we approach sex are some of the most profound theological questions we face in our daily lives, and yet it doesn’t seem to make it into mainstream media much. There are exceptions of course.

The rite stuff in Fort Worth?

For years, Anglican-warfare watchers have been paying close attention to contacts between the old-fashioned Anglo-Catholic wing of the Anglican Communion and the leadership of the Catholic Church. And, of course, one of the most interesting and candid addresses at the recent Lambeth Conference of the world’s Anglican bishops (or about 70 percent of them) was delivered by Catholic Cardinal Walter Kasper, with the title “The Aim of Our Dialogue Has Receded Further,” urging Anglicans to say true to basic Christian traditions about scripture.
