Apparently Dan Rather was on Jon Stewart’s Daily Show not too long ago where he scoffed at the idea that the media is biased in a liberal fashion. He said that criticizing the media for liberal bias is just “working the refs.” I’m going based on second-hand reports because I’m traveling right now and for some reason the wifi system I’m on won’t let me actually watch this video.
There was a gay pride march the other day in Utah and The Salt Lake City Tribune, in it’s basic report about the event, certainly didn’t shy away from publishing a provocative lede:

At the heart of the whole U.S. nuns vs. the Vatican media storm is the April 18th “doctrinal assessment” in which the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith expressed its concerns about the theological orientation expressed by the leadership of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious. The report mentions a host of concerns about a decade or two of LCWR educational events, speeches, national conferences, etc.
The Tampa Bay Times reports the Pinellas County Florida Board of Education has revoked the license of a charter school that uses a religion-based curriculum after its students tested poorly in the state-wide FCAT exams (Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test).
