Gasp! Most folks OK with Warren!
Did I miss the poll on the status of the other ordained participants in this festival of public-discourse?
Prayers and protests, inauguration style
Sitting in my house a few blocks from the Capitol, I’ve heard sirens blaring for days. Parking is difficult to find. The bridges are closed. Many of my friends have fled to Miami for the week. The mainstream media, which gave fawning coverage to President-elect Barack Obama throughout his campaign for president, is continuing with the love fest. I became a reporter during the George W. C11: Reporters get some religions
It would be hard to pick up the big newspapers right now and try to argue that the major, elite media are not trying to “get religion” right now. It’s like the editors have all walked the aisle at the President Barack Obama revival and made professions of faith.

Children of (postmodern) women
We talk about “ghosts” quite a bit at this blog, by which we mean religious issues that are hiding, uncovered, in mainstream news stories.
Reporting 101 at The Nation
Yes, it’s easy to criticize the work of an editorial intern, even one who is a Fulbright scholar and has a master’s degree. Still, where was a decent copy editor at The Nation when Drew Haxby wrote about the sexuality debate within Anglicanism? For that matter, why should any copy editor have to deal with so much stilted writing?
A pew more 2009 religion predictions
Following in the footsteps of Brother LeBlanc (or at a respectful distance behind him), here are a few semi-serious, and semi-safe, predictions for the New Year.
